Immigration Officer

1. Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Immigration Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety, security, and efficiency of our airport operations by managing and processing immigration procedures for passengers. This position requires a strong commitment to public service, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Conduct thorough inspections of passengers' travel documents to ensure compliance with immigration laws and regulations. Interview passengers to verify their eligibility for entry or exit from the United States. Collaborate with other airport and government agencies to maintain security and facilitate smooth passenger flow. Identify and address potential security threats or fraudulent activities. Provide assistance and information to passengers regarding immigration procedures and requirements. Maintain accurate records and documentation of immigration processes and decisions. Stay updated on changes in immigration laws, policies, and procedures.

• Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, International Relations, or a related field.

• Previous experience in immigration services, law enforcement, or a related field is preferred.

• Strong understanding of U.S. immigration laws and regulations.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work under pressure and handle challenging situations with professionalism.

• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

• Proficiency in multiple languages is a plus.

• Must be able to pass a background check and obtain necessary security clearances.
